Home grown vegetables can change people's lives. I am not kidding, I am serious about this. I actually grew up in the countryside and it was so natural that my mum always cooked fresh vegetables.
When we needed some tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, celery – we just went to the garden and picked up some. There were no plastic boxes, no genetically modified vegetables or fuits just the fresh home grown and mouth-watering delicious tomatoes, carrots. When I moved to the city it was really hard to get used to the tasteless, colorless “plastic” vegetables as I ironically call them. Probably this was one of the reasons why I moved to the countryside again, why I always wanted a house with a vegetable garden. I appreciate more the importance of home grown vegetables now.
One of my favourite vegetables is tomato. The big question is: How to grow tomatoes. Is it really hard to grow your own delicious tomatoes? The answer is simple; no, not at all. Of course there is a quite bit of work involved but at the end it is worth it.

The first secret is the importance of effective microorganisms, it is easier to call them EM. So what do these microorganisms do? They produce extremely important nutrients and elements for tomatoes and of course for other vegetables and plants to thrive. We also have extra-tiny microorganisms in our body, for example in our stomachs that help to digest certain foods. We couldn't live without them nor the plants could survive without them. The biggest difference between good and bad soil is that the good soil is more alive. It is a shame that about 90% of all soil today is dead. It's been treated with chemicals and sitting plastic bags for months. You can actually grow your own microorganisms at home in a few days, buy them online for a couple of bucks and you'll have a 6 month supply. It is really easy!
The second secret of how to grow tomatoes is watering tomatoes. The golden rule is to water them as much as you can, try to make a watering schedule for every single day and try to stick to it. Believe me it will worth it. Tomatoes need a lot of water and microorganisms need water to thrive too. One other thing, don't water the leaves only the soil. This is really important as well.
And last but not least the third secret of how to grow tomatoes is the importance of good seeds. To be honest it is really hard to find good seeds, one thing is sure you won't find them at your local garden store. You need to get them from a trusted supplier that sells only the best quality organic tomato seeds. A quality bag of seeds will cost you around 3$-5$.
These are the 3 most important secrets of how to grow tomatoes in your garden. Buy EM, find a good seed supplier and don't forget to water your tomatoes; you and your family will enjoy the best tasting tomatoes ever.
